Inspired by the life and ministry of St. Dominic de Guzman, the members of the Order strive to re-envision his charism for the present day. The Order is comprised of both men and women, lay and clergy, who are drawn to the charism of Sacred Preaching built upon the four pillars of Dominican spirituality: Prayer, Community, Study and the Sacred Preaching.
The Dominicans of the Blessed Sacrament is an autocephalous community of men and women in the Old Catholic tradition following in the footsteps of St. Dominic as Preachers, Teachers and Defenders of the Christian Faith. We are a “Dispersed Community” consisting of ordained Priests and Religious Brothers and Religious Sisters who follow an adapted form of the 1952 Dominican Third Order Rule. We have a sincere devotion to the Most Holy Rosary of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary in its original form of the 15-decades as given by Our Blessed Mother to Saint Dominic and the Benediction and Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament. This Congregation is under the governance of the Superior General; The Rt. Rev. Robert Rodriguez.
